Khlong Hae Floating Market

Hello, I am back again! :)

This time I gonna blog about trip to Khlong Hae Floating MarketHatyai Floating Market.
It is located at Khlong Hae, about 15-20minutes of ride from Hatyai.
It is one of the attractive tourism spots in Hatyai.
It only opens from Friday to Sunday, from 3pm to 9pm.

Floating market is a market where Thai local people trade their businesses through waterways transportation.
Khlong Hae Floating Market is slightly different with Bangkok Floating market.
In Hatyai floating market, we do not need to sit the so-called 'sampans', the 'sampans' already lined up along the walkway.

It was pretty crowded in the evening

When the 'sampans' was in port, sellers tied up the 'sampans'

Sellers do not get up from their boat or 'sampans' in Malay language.
They will pass the foods to customers in a long-handled baskets.
Customers just need to place their money inside the baskets, take out the foods from basket and enjoy it.

It sells variety of foods and drinks, and the price is reasonable.
Most of the foods and drinks are priced at not more than 50 bahts.
If converting to Ringgit Malaysia, it is around less than RM5 per foods or drinks.

Colourful jelly which is known as 'Luk Chup' in Thai

Chinese dimsum

It reminds me of Fear Factor
I dare not to try this, hahaha

Sellers will immediately cook the foods on boat once customers place an order.
Hence, the foods is freshly cooked and served with hot.

One thing so unique about this floating market is,
drinks are served in a clay cup, & you can bring it home after purchased.
It is available in different designs and sizes.
Smaller sizes selling at around 20 or 30 bahts,
while bigger sizes are at around 30 or 40 bahts
*the price is not expensive at all.... :D*
You can choose whatever designs that you like before you order your drinks.

Fried foods

Grilled corn

Sushi

Rubbish bins are well-placed along the walkway in order for tourists to throw their rubbish.

Fried potato with cheese powder

Colourful jellies, but I think they put a lot of colouring

Fried Quail Eggs :)
My favorite foods in this floating market

It was a great experience to me as I never been there before.
