Chun Cheon Dak Galbi Korean BBQ Foods

I am so happy to know that there are a lot of Korean restaurants opened in Peneng recently. I guess, it is because of the trend of K-pop. I am a fans of K-pop songs and shows, and of course korean foods as well. What makes Chun Cheon Dak Galbi so outstanding is, it is the first ever korean restaurant serving Dak Galbi in Penang. Dak Galbi is a famous local dish in Korea which made by stir-frying marinated chicken in a sauce (which known as gochujang), together with sliced cabbage, sweet potato and rice cake (which known as tteok).

This was my second visit to this restaurant. I went with my colleagues after work as it would be crowded during dinner time. This restaurant is located at Vantage Desiran Tanjung, Penang. It is easy to recognize where is the restaurant as the signboard is large and filled with some eye-catching colorful wordings. Besides, we do not need to worry about the parking lots as the building is quite empty, not much shops are open there actually. The parking is free, we do not need to put the parking coupon as well.

It serves Dak Galbi, Samgyeopsal,  kimchi jjigae, fried rice and some other menu. We've ordered 2 servings of Dak Galbi as the minimum servings is 2 regardless of the number of person dine in. Lettuce and side dishes are refillable. There are some other choices of ingredients to add on such as cheese, ramen, rice cake, udon and fried rice to stir together with Dak Galbi. I've added cheese during my first visit, so this time we decided to add on rice cake. In my opinion, I feel it tastes nicer if add on cheese. Next time I should try to add on ramen or fried rice.

Dak Galbi ; RM 26 per serving (minimum have to order 2 servings)

A complete photo of the foods :)

BanChan (Side dishes) & Dak Galbi

We just sat down and relax instead of cooking. The staff helped us to cook and informed us whenever it is ready to be served.

The staff very friendly, helped us to take a group photo for us as well. Haha although the photo is a bit blur due to his not-so-good photography skills, but still, thanks to him. ^.^

It is ready to be served. At first, it looked so 'huge' before cooking, and now, it was 'shrink'.

my companion of the night :)

The service is good, staffs and boss are friendly, and foods is delicious. For korean foods lover, you should try this as this is the only restaurant serving Dak Galbi in Penang. I've heard that Uncle Jang's Dak Galbi is way better than this restaurant, I wish to try Uncle Jang someday when I have the chance go to Kuala Lumpur.  :D

The Body Shop Lip Gloss Shade 17 Sweet Peach Review

Recently, The Body Shop Malaysia facebook is giving away lip gloss for free for all reviewers. I've joined the contest in order to win myself a lip gloss as well. It is very simple, first of all, you need to write a review about your favorite product from The Body Shop including some tips to share with others about this product. Then, give 5 stars rate for this review and hashtag #MYTBSLOVE in review. The organizer will then send a private message including the voucher to all reviewers on Facebook. Reviewers just need to go to the nearest store and flash this voucher to redeem the free lip gloss. Very simple, isn't it? :)

I received the voucher from the organizer on the next day. I went to Queensbay Mall The Body Shop store to redeem my lip gloss. Taa-daa~~ Here is it. :D However, I thought there are few shades of lip gloss to be randomly selected by reviewers, sadly to say that, we are not allowed to do so. They only offered 1 type of lip gloss, which is Love Gloss shade 17 Sweet Peach flavor.

The volume of lip gloss is 7.5ml per tube. Normal retail price is RM 46.30 and now I got it for free *excited*. Hahaha feel lucky to have it. :)

The main 3 ingredients of the lip gloss are coconut oil (an excellent skin emollient), marula oil (helps to restore moisture to skin) and cocoa butter (moisture skin for longer time). It is suitable for all skin types.

Shade 17 Sweet Peach

This lip gloss features a specially designed heart-shaped brush which enable users to apply the gloss easily and fit to our lip shapes. The gloss has beautiful peachy colour. It is smooth and shiny when applying it on lips. It has fruity smells, smells like peach, but it is not too strong or heavy. It is not sticky at all, because I realized that some lip gloss tends to be very sticky, but this lip gloss is not sticky at all. Thumbs up for it :)

I've applied it once and I love the outcome as my lips looks shiny and moisture all day long.
Thanks to The Body Shop Malaysia facebook for this great freebies.
That's all for now. I will be back soon.
Till then.

Brown Pocket ; Girls' Night

Hello, I am back again to keep my blog alive, hahaha. Was thinking of what to blog about. And finally, I've decided to blog about my very first time visited to Brown Pocket cafe with these 2 pretty ladies. We have been working together as colleagues for 1 year and this was actually the first time we hung out together after work. Girls love desserts, hahaha so we've decided to pay a visit to Brown Pocket cafe since three of us never been here before.

Brown Pocket cafe is a new cafe located at 6th floor of Gurney Paragon Mall, Penang. The decoration of cafe is simple, more to modern design and it looks beautiful when lights on. It has gained its popularity among young teenagers and definitely a perfect place for shoppers to take a break after long day of shopping. It has indoor and outdoor seating, customers can choose either o sit indoor or outdoor to enjoy their desserts. This photo is the outlook of the cafe which I goggled it from the Internet as I forgot to take a picture of it.

It sells wide ranges of desserts, such as waffles, crepes, pancakes, ice-cream, yogurt drinks and so on. Three of us are big fans of green tea, so we ordered one matcha waffle which served with red bean and strawberries. We also ordered another waffle which served with banana and chocolate ice-cream. Matcha waffle is a must try for matcha lovers, because I think matcha and red bean is the best combination ever for desserts or drinks.

After had our delicious desserts, it is time for 'wefie'. Girls always like to do it, right?  :)

guess who has the biggest eyes? sadly to say that, it is not me.
